Live Music in Northern Sydney

About HKFC

Who we are ↗

HKFC is a community-based, volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation which organises live music in Northern Sydney. Our audience visits from all parts of Greater Sydney and the Blue Mountains and we have members from all parts of Australia and internationally.

We have been hosting folk music performances for at least 40 years and hope to continue provided there are lovers of live music and volunteers to manage the club.

If you have an interest in live music, a small amount of time and some skills in design, promotions in social media, sound deck management, taking turns as the night’s host, hall setup/takedown each month, writing, reviewing, team management, dishwashing, cooking, … please get in touch. We need you!

Useful Info ↗

HKFC invites a quality performer on the third Friday of each month. We also accept floor spots subject to availability. We schedule a break and provide supper at no additional cost, and an opportunity to chat with the artist.

Doors open at 6:30 pm and performances start at 7 pm. Seating is at tables of 6 and our audience often brings drinks and snacks. Please note that Hornsby Council limits Beatrice Taylor Hall to 60 people so some months we may be booked out. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Our usual venue is Beatrice Taylor Hall, Hornsby (behind Wallarobba) at 25 Edgeworth David Ave Hornsby.

Parking is available inside. BT Hall is also a short walk to Hornsby and Waitara railway stations.

Sometimes we perform at Storey Park Community Centre, Hornsby between 10 & 12 Old Berowra Rd Hornsby. The closest railway station to this venue is Asquith Station. There are parking spaces inside.
